JNC Publishes Largest Study to Date Evaluating SPECT Myocardial Flow Reserve

The July issue of the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology is now available, featuring new research spanning quantitative PET and SPECT imaging, emerging radiotracers, right ventricular metabolism in pulmonary vascular disease, and practical clinical questions such as the safety of stress testing in patients with recent cocaine use.

Among the featured articles is the largest dedicated published study to date evaluating SPECT-derived myocardial flow reserve. The findings add important evidence to a growing body of research examining whether quantitative flow measurements obtained with SPECT can help identify patients at increased risk for adverse cardiovascular events – and ultimately support broader clinical adoption of this emerging capability.
