A New Chapter Begins

Message from Drs. Marcelo Di Carli and Panithaya Chareonthaitawee

The JNC will now be delivered digitally 12 times per year and hosted on a dynamic new website designed by our new publisher, Elsevier, all overseen by a new editorial team led by new Editor-in-Chief Marcelo Di Carli, MD, MASNC.

Exciting Changes Starting Now

In an in-press Editor's Page, Dr. Di Carli and JNC Deputy Editor Panithaya Chareonthaitawee, MD, write about their goals for JNC's next chapter. Change, they say, is key to achieving their "overarching goal" of propelling and broadening "the transformative role of nuclear cardiology in cardiovascular care."

ASNC members and other JNC subscribers will receive the Journal monthly in a digital format alongside exciting opportunities to interact with the content and communicate about it with others. The editorial team is laser-focused on presenting new research and perspectives "in a manner that deepens understanding of disease, the role of imaging in patient management, and the translation of new discoveries into practice."

Core Principles Remain Constant

While change is "inevitably on the horizon," write Drs. Di Carli and Chareonthaitawee, "... the core principles that have guided JNC's editorial work for the last three decades will remain unchanged." The new JNC team is committed to scientific rigor, views the input of expert peer reviewers as the cornerstone of the editorial process, and is eager to partner with authors. These values are key to navigating change and growth, they emphasize.

You, too, are key to shaping JNC's next chapter. Drs. Di Carli and Chareonthaitawee want your feedback and ideas. "We are excited about shaping an even more successful future in collaboration with every member of our imaging community," they write. "Your participation and insights are integral to our collective growth and success."
