ASNC Rising Star Award

This will be awarded to up to 1 ASNC member per year who is an early-career physician (within 7 years of training) who has demonstrated academic excellence, contributed to the field of nuclear cardiology, and has provided substantial service to ASNC. Nomination letters may be submitted by any ASNC member. The awardee will be selected by the ASNC Nominating Committee and confirmed by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

  • Participation in ASNC committees, activities, and programs
    (example: LDP & Future Leaders).
  • Published in JNC or other journal.
  • ASNC member for consecutive 3 years or more.
Distinguished Nuclear Cardiology Team Member

Distinguished Nuclear Cardiology Team Member

This will be awarded to up to 1 candidate per year who is a technologist, nurse, or advanced practice provider who has been an ASNC member for at least the past 3 years and has contributed to the field of nuclear cardiology through a combination of protocol development or implementation, teaching excellence, clinical excellence, and service to ASNC. Nomination letters may be submitted by any ASNC member. The awardee will be selected by the ASNC Nominating Committee and confirmed by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

  • Participation in ASNC committees, activities, and programs.
  • ASNC member for consecutive 3 years or more.
Gold Medal for Global Impact in Nuclear Cardiology

Gold Medal for Global Impact in Nuclear Cardiology

This will be awarded to up to 1 candidate per year. It is open to individuals in all disciplines both national and international who have made major contributions to advancing nuclear cardiology globally (education, training, clinical practice, research discoveries, etc. impacting the greater reach of nuclear cardiology around the world). Nomination letters may be submitted by any ASNC member.

The awardee will be selected by the ASNC Nominating Committee and confirmed by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

  • Contributions to advancing nuclear cardiology globally.
  • Demonstration of impact on nuclear cardiology globally.
ASNC Distinguished Teacher / Clinician

ASNC Distinguished Teacher / Clinician

This will be awarded to up to 1 candidate per year. The awardee must have a record of significant contributions as an educator in the field of nuclear cardiology and superb clinical skill and practice in the imaging field of nuclear cardiology. The nominee will have demonstrated a commitment to the educational mission of ASNC. Nomination letters may be submitted by any ASNC member. Two additional supporting letters, one letter should be from outside the nominee’s institution.

The awardee will be selected by the ASNC Nominating Committee and confirmed by the Board of Directors. Open to physicians and non-physicians.

Qualifications:

  • A record of significant contributions as an educator in the field of nuclear cardiology.
  • Superb clinical skill and practice in the imaging field of nuclear cardiology.
  • ASNC member at least 10 consecutive years.

Other Award Opportunities

ASNC/Pfizer Young Investigator in Cardiac Amyloidosis Research Fellowship Award

This award provides $35,000 of support to eligible investigators for a mentored research project exploring the role of nuclear cardiology in the early detection of TTR cardiac amyloidosis.

Masters of ASNC (MASNC) Award

The MASNC designation is reserved for distinguished leaders in the field of nuclear cardiology, including those who have held senior leadership positions within ASNC, such as president. The MASNC designation is a lifetime designation.
