ASNC’s 2026 Industry Forum was attended by over 40 representatives from across the nuclear cardiology community. About half of the participants gathered for a photo as the event concluded.

Strengthening nuclear cardiology’s position in the increasingly competitive cardiovascular imaging landscape was the focus of ASNC’s 2026 Industry Forum, which brought together Society leaders and industry partners for a day of strategic discussion and collaborative brainstorming.

Using the theme “The Race for Precision: Advancing Nuclear Cardiology’s Competitive Advantage in the Evolving Multimodality Environment,” participants explored how the field can demonstrate its unique value, build on its established clinical strengths, and capitalize on emerging opportunities across cardiovascular imaging.

ASNC President Jamieson M. Bourque, MD, MHS, MASNC, emphasized the importance of pairing a “competitive mindset with a collaborative spirit,” recognizing that ASNC’s goal is to ensure patients receive optimal patient-centered care.

ASNC President Jamieson M. Bourque, MD, MHS, MASNC, led ASNC’s 2026 Industry Forum, which employed a Grand Prix race analogy to prompt creative brainstorming.

Through interactive discussions and team exercises, participants brainstormed priorities for advancing nuclear cardiology across clinical indications, responding to changes in the broader healthcare and reimbursement environment, and communicating the value of nuclear cardiology to stakeholders. Key areas of focus included making myocardial blood flow quantification more accessible, enhancing the clinical value of reports for referrers, and identifying research priorities across the field. Participants also explored opportunities for ASNC and industry partners to work together on near-term initiatives with the greatest potential for lasting impact.

The ideas generated during the forum will help inform the ASNC Board of Directors’ discussions about priorities and next steps for the field.

Stay tuned for initiatives developed from the Industry Forum.
