ASNC congratulates the following early-career researchers who will compete for cash prizes at this year’s Barry L. Zaret Young Investigator Awards Competition.

Barry L. Zaret, MD, MASNC
The event honors Journal of Nuclear Cardiology Founding Editor-in-Chief Barry L. Zaret, MD, MASNC, who was deeply committed to advancing the field of nuclear cardiology by supporting innovative research and the careers of young investigators.
ASNC Past President Robert C. Hendel, MD, MASNC, will moderate the competition on Friday, Sept. 18, at 11:00 AM (Pacific Time). Each finalist will give a 7-minute presentation of their research and then will field questions from the judges.
Two first-prize winners – one each from the Clinical Science and Emerging Science categories – will be announced during the Saturday, Sept. 19, plenary session, Nuclear Cardiology in Nonischemic Cardiomyopathies. The finalists’ abstracts are included here in the ASNC2026 Program.
