The Research and Abstracts Track at ASNC2026 will spotlight the breadth and depth of scientific work from across the nuclear cardiology community. This year’s submissions reflect a vibrant mix of original investigations, thought-provoking clinical cases, and forward-looking trials. The enthusiasm is unmistakable: ASNC received more than 200 abstract and case submissions this year, a 30% increase over 5 years, underscoring the excitement about advances unfolding across nuclear cardiology.
“The quality of the research to be presented at ASNC2026 is excellent. The high quality plus this year’s record-setting number of submissions speaks volumes about the strength of the nuclear cardiology community and the accelerating pace of innovation across the field.”
Robert J.H. Miller, MD, FASNC
Chair of the ASNC2026 Research and Abstracts Track
Research Track Reflects Today’s Practice, Anticipates Tomorrow’s Needs
The ASNC2026 submissions reveal several clear scientific and clinical themes that reflect both current practice and the future direction of nuclear cardiology, says Research and Abstracts Track Chair Robert J.H. Miller, MD, FASNC. He points to the substantial number of abstracts focused on cardiac amyloidosis, myocardial ischemia and atherosclerosis imaging, new radiotracers, emerging technologies, as well as a notable increase in clinical trial design and late breaking trials.
“The mix is highly reflective of how nuclear cardiology is being used today while also revealing where the field is heading and our community’s enthusiasm about new approaches to imaging,” Dr. Miller says.
Fresh Presentation Formats Supporting Deeper Discussion, Sparking New Collaborations

In place of the traditional poster hall, ASNC2026 will feature authors discussing their work in interactive sessions.
ASNC2026 is also introducing new presentation formats designed to help attendees “take away more from the exciting case and original abstract submissions,” than ever before, Dr. Miller says. Instead of the traditional poster hall, attendees will hear directly from presenting authors in dynamic, high engagement sessions that encourage –
- Meaningful dialogue with investigators;
- Better visibility for innovative work;
- Real time feedback for presenters; and
- Rich learning experiences for clinicians, researchers, and trainees.
Join ASNC in Las Vegas for Practical Insights and Future-Focused Insights
“The ASNC2026 Research and Abstracts Track is built to help you elevate your practice immediately while also preparing you for what’s next in nuclear cardiology,” Dr. Miller emphasizes.
Choose from 9 Cases from the Community sessions – presented in Rapid-Fire or Lightning Round formats – each showing how state of the art imaging is being applied today, and 12 Oral Abstracts sessions highlighting evidence-based pathways to improving practice now and in the future.
“It’s the combination of practical relevance and forward-looking innovation, across abstracts and cases, that makes the track a must-attend for advancing patient care,” Dr. Miller says.
ASNC2026 will be held Sept. 16-19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In-person and virtual registration options are available; however, to take advantage of Research and Abstracts sessions, you will need to attend in Las Vegas.
