ASNC's 2019 Fellows-in-Training Program is this Friday, March 15

ASNC's 2019 Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT for Fellows-in-Training program is an invaluable educational and networking experience. Guest blogger Purvi Parwani, MD explains why it's important to attend the program.
As a previous attendee of this program, I highly encourage the fellows and other healthcare professionals to attend it. I remember attending it consecutively every year during my cardiovascular fellowship. The program showcases the speakers who are experts and thought leaders into the different nuclear cardiology imaging modalities. It starts with technical aspects of single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging.

Overview of artifacts is a great educational session going into the depth of information that focuses on how to differentiate the artifacts with real pathology. There is disease specific session focused on role of nuclear medicine in cases of cardiac sarcoidosis and cardiac amyloidosis. Perhaps the best of all is the hands-on reading sessions with experts of each modality. Not to forget, the opportunity to network with the experts in the field one-to-one in a small gathering and mingle with other fellows who are interested in cardiac imaging. Overall the program highlights great practical points and new ideas in the nuclear cardiology imaging.

Many thanks to the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology to organize such a engaging and educational meeting for Fellows-in-Training.
