Celebrating Nurses Week: A Proud ASNC Nurse Member

Featuring one of our favorite nurses and annual meeting attendees, Margaret Cammeyer, RN, Nuclear Department, Stony Brook Medicine, Stony Brook Internists, North Suffolk Cardiology, NY., on her career and how ASNC has supported her continuing education.

Margaret RN"Working in Cardiology is certainly a learning experience every day.  You are constantly challenged with not only staying up to date with standards of care, but, implementing them on a daily basis.

Nuclear cardiology is its own domain with nursing aspects not learned in any other nursing area.

Nuclear nurses should be proud of the care they provide their patients.  I have been attending the yearly ASNC conference which has added to my education in Nuclear Medicine and helped me understand the fundamental aspects of nuclear stress testing, giving me a better understanding as to why we do these tests and help with educating my patients."

Read more about how Imaging Heart Teams benefit the patient by taking advantage of our rich multi-disciplinary field consisting of Nuclear, CT, MRI, Echospecialists (from cardiology, nuclear medicine, radiology), imaging physicists, technologists, nurses, administrators, referring cardiologists, and surgeons.
