New Virtual Format

ASNC will hold the 2020 Board Exam Prep Course as a virtual live meeting. Instead of the traditional two-day course held adjacent to the annual meeting, Board Prep 2020 registrants will have up to 5 weeks, starting Sept 11, 2020, to review recorded lectures and take the self-paced mock exams associated with the lecture material, based on the CBNC blueprint.

The course will leverage a new virtual format to provide an educational experience that addresses areas that attendees' need most.

Here's how it works:

  • Set Your Own Pace:
    • Starting September 11, 2020, we will provide registrants with 19 pre-recorded sessions tailored to the CBNC exam blueprint.
    • You will be invited to take post questions, all of which will be answered by Board Prep faculty during live virtual sessions held Oct. 17-18. The tests -- and attendees' feedback -- will allow faculty to customize the live, virtual meeting precisely to attendees' needs.
    • Watch the presentations and take four mock tests at your own pace.
  • "Cases with the Experts":
    • Provided in pre-recorded sessions, SPECT and PET cases will highlight key points needed for the Boards and daily practice. Attendees' questions on the cases will be answered during the live virtual sessions.
  • Teaching with the Tests:
    • On Saturday, Oct. 17 and Sunday, Oct. 18, attendees will log on to the live virtual sessions. Experts will walk them through each exam, answer submitted questions, and explain the correct and incorrect answers.
  • Going to Town with Your Questions:
    • Participants will be able to submit questions throughout the five weeks as well as during the live virtual event.
    • During a special Board Prep Q&A Townhall on Oct. 18, attendees will take the virtual stage, posing their questions to the assembled faculty. "Ask anything," invites Dr. Ananthasubramaniam. "The faculty will address submitted questions and any additional questions attendees still have."
CBNC Upcoming Dates
  • The CBNC application window is open for submissions for the CBNC exam November 10–December 3, 2020.
  • The Certification Regular Deadline is Monday, August 24
  • The Recertification Regular Deadline is Tuesday, September 1.
