26th Annual Scientific Session of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology

ASNC2020 Speaker Preview

We are excited to announce our headlining speakers for #ASNC2020.
Registration will be announced soon. Check back for updates!

Marcelo Di Carli, MD, MASNC will present the 2020 Mario Verani Memorial Lecture"The Evolving Role of Nuclear Cardiology in CAD Management in the Era of Multimodality Imaging," which reflects his impact on the specialty. Thanks in large part to his work, PET myocardial blood flow and myocardial flow reserve are no longer research tools used only in academic settings.

"These tools are now reimbursed clinical services that cardiovascular imagers are routinely using throughout the world to improve patient outcomes."
ASNC President Sharmila Dorbala, MD, MPH, FASNC

H. Henry Guo, MD, PhD, is a clinical associate professor of radiology at Stanford University whose research focus has been on diseases of the lungs. He will present "COVID-19 Pneumonitis and CT."

Mintu Turakhia, MD, MAS, will present "Watch App Identifies Clinically Important Arrhythmias Other Than Atrial Fibrillation" during a session on cardiac approaches to AI applications. Dr. Turakhia is associate professor of medicine at Stanford University; director of the Stanford Center for Digital Health; and director of electrophysiology at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Health Care System.

ASNC2020 Chair Terrence Ruddy, MD, FASNC, of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, and Co-chair Piotr Slomka, PhD, of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, have a vision for the Society’s 26th Annual Scientific Session. From the helm of ASNC’s diverse Program Committee, they’re assembling an agenda oriented around “Using Technology to Improve Patient Care,” with a focus on how current and future technologies—and the vast amounts of data they produce—can be combined with clinicians’ knowledge to optimize decision-making in nuclear cardiology.
