At ASNC2025, Fatema Tuj Zohora, MSc, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow at the Yale University School of Medicine, was presented with this year’s ASNC/Pfizer Young Investigator in Cardiac Amyloidosis Research Fellowship Award.

Dr. Zohora will receive $25,000 in funding for her project, “Comparison of 99mTc-PYP and 99mTc-HDP Binding Target, Uptake Specificity, and Sensitivity for Diagnosis of Transthyretin Amyloidosis.” Her mentor is Albert Sinusas, MD, MASNC.
Dr. Zohora will present the results of her project at ASNC2026, Sept. 17-19, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

At ASNC2025 in Orlando, Florida, Panithaya Chareonthaitawee, MD, MASNC, announced that the establishment of the ASNC Discover Grant and 2 new ASNC Clinical Research Awards.
The winner of the 2026 ASNC Discover Grant will receive $75,000 in funding to support transformative research with potential to shape future practice and advance to larger-scale clinical trials.
The ASNC Clinical Research Awards will go to early-career investigators, $25,000 each to support a mentored research project exploring innovations and the effectiveness of nuclear cardiology.
“ASNC is … our partner, our resource, and our advocate,” said Dr. Chareonthaitawee. “These awards reflect our investment in the next generation of discovery,”
