The majority of participants in the February 2026 cardiac PET case poll said the most appropriate interpretation of the imaging study was multivessel coronary artery disease. The patient, an 87-year-old man, presented with chest pain. He had an unremarkable physical exam; an LVEF of 60%; and a history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and peripheral artery disease. Do you agree with the poll participants?
The case, titled Utility of PET Myocardial Blood Flow in a Patient with Suspected Coronary Artery Disease, reveals the correct answer to the poll question and explains the tools used to guide their interpretation.
Shekhar Vohra, MD, Phillip Lim, MD, Marija Petrovic, MD, PhD, Vikram Agarwal, MD, MPH, and Krishna K. Patel, MD, MS, FASNC, of Mount Sinai Morningside at Mount Sinai Fuster Hospital in New York contributed this case. ASNC’s archive of cardiac PET cases is available in the Cardiac PET Resource Center.
