Fourteen ASNC members traveled to Washington, DC, where they participated in more than 40 meetings with Members of Congress and their staff. In preparation, the physicians attended in-depth training sessions focused on the details of legislation under consideration in one or both houses of Congress. The bills included provisions around topics such as physician payment, prior authorization, and the appropriate use criteria mandate.
