ASNC embraces the era of Multimodality Imaging. Of the several cardiovascular imaging modalities, each has its role in evaluating certain patients and no one test is optimal for all patients. The right test for the right patient at the right time is the key tenant to follow and patient-first imaging should always be our focus. No two patients are exactly the same and decisionsabout optimal testing strategy can be nuanced. Accordingly, we believe that diagnostic testing strategies should always be decisions made between the patient and his or her physician trained in the appropriate specialty and in compliance with Appropriate Use Criteria.
