In her new President’s Message, Panithaya Chareonthaitawee, MD, MASNC, answers one of the most-asked questions from members around the world: “How can I get more involved in ASNC?” She outlines numerous pathways to leadership at ASNC, detailing entry points for members at different career stages and highlighting the many areas of ASNC activity where members can find a niche that supports their career growth while advancing the field of nuclear cardiology.

“Whether you are just beginning your journey, in the in-between years, or well established in your career, there is a place for you at ASNC,” she wrote. “I encourage each of you to choose at least one pathway to become more involved in this year. … You will find that doors open, skills develop, and your contributions make a lasting impact.”

Volunteer to Join an ASNC Committee! Applications Due Wednesday, October 15

For most members, a meaningful way to start a journey to ASNC leadership is by serving on a committee or task force. These opportunities bring leaders at all levels together to explore the Society’s many facets while helping to shape programs, events, and services. There is no better way to showcase your commitment to the field, prepare yourself for future leadership opportunities, and build stronger relationships with peers and prospective mentors.

Volunteering for a committee is easy! Submit your completed Volunteer Interest Form for the 2026 committees by Wednesday, Oct. 15. You will be asked to indicate your first and second choices for committee involvement. Appointments will be announced in January.
