At ASNC2025, the following early-career investigators will compete for cash prizes in the Barry L. Zaret Young Investigator Awards Competition. The competition honors Dr. Zaret, co-founder of ASNC and founding editor of ASNC’s Journal of Nuclear Cardiology, who passed away in 2022. Dr. Zaret was a visionary scientist whose work established the field of nuclear cardiology and kept pushing it forward.
This year’s competition will feature 6 finalists, each of whom will present their research and then field questions from a panel of esteemed judges as well as session attendees.

Attend the Competition, Sept. 6, in Orlando, Florida
The competition will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM (Eastern Time).
Two first-prize winners, one from each category, will be announced during the Sunday, Sept. 7, plenary session, Multimodality Imaging in Endocarditis – Cases with the Experts.
