ASNC Clinical Research Grants provide $25,000 in support to eligible young investigators for a mentored research project exploring innovations and the effectiveness of nuclear cardiology.
The ASNC Clinical Research Grants were established to encourage innovation in nuclear cardiology while supporting early-career physicians and technologists.
Additional Goals Include:
- To increase opportunities for U.S. and global clinical research in nuclear cardiology
- To encourage and support careers in nuclear cardiology research while growing the science of nuclear cardiology and advancing the specialty
- To promote research in nuclear cardiology among early-career investigators
- To provide an initial grant for early-career investigators that will serve as a steppingstone to larger awards
- To promote the field of nuclear cardiology by supporting new and innovative research
Two awards will be granted to ASNC members, The recipients will have the distinct honor of presenting the status of their research at ASNC2026 and ASNC2027.
ASNC welcomes research proposals on any topic reflecting innovation in nuclear cardiology. For the 2026 grant, ASNC will prioritize proposals exploring the following topics:
- Cost-effectiveness of cardiac PET
- Role of nuclear cardiology in diagnosing microvascular and epicardial coronary artery disease
- Best practices to demonstrate the value of nuclear cardiology in value-based care design
- Role of nuclear cardiology in ischemic heart disease
- Hybrid imaging
