ASNC Alert: Minor Mo-99 Supply Interruption Possible Over the Next Week

The Emergency Response Team of Nuclear Medicine Europe (NMEu) alerted the global community to a shutdown of the high flux reactor in Petten, Netherlands, due to a water leak in the beam tube cooling reactor. This shutdown will impact scheduled irradiation of Mo-99, the precursor to technetium-99m, which is widely used in nuclear cardiology.
