ASNC Represents at SNMMI Mid-Winter Meeting!

ASNC members and staff attended the SNMMI Mid-Winter Meeting in Tampa, FL on January 23-25. 

It was a wonderful opportunity to build connections and demonstrate the work that ASNC is doing with the nuclear medicine and molecular imaging communities.

Advocacy Alert: PET Reimbursement Update

Letter from President-Elect, Randall Thompson, MD, FASNC:

You’ll recall that, in the 2020 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, 
CMS reversed its proposal to cut PET reimbursement by 80 percent. CMS’s decision followed one of ASNC’s largest grassroots efforts in our organization’s history and was an important win for nuclear cardiology.

Please join ASNC in congratulating Sharmila Dorbala, MD, MPH, FASNC, as she begins her term as the Society’s president for 2020. Dr. Dorbala is the director of nuclear cardiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, and is an associate professor of radiology at Harvard.
