The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the Nuclear Cardiology Foundation are committed to helping nuclear cardiology professionals provide optimal care to their patients.  ASNC and the Foundation strive to support initiatives that promote high quality cardiovascular care.

Laboratory Accreditation

ASNC supports the use of laboratory accreditation as a method of measuring quality.  In February 2005, the ASNC Board of Directors announced its support of mandatory accreditation of nuclear cardiology laboratories by January 1, 2008.  In order to help ASNC members prepare for the accreditation process, the Nuclear Cardiology Foundation has launched www.asnc.org/accreditation.

The 2008 Quality of Care program is supported by Astellas Pharma US, Inc., Cardinal Health Foundation, and Covidien (formerly Mallinckrodt).
