ASNC is pleased to offer a new online resource for physicians preparing for certification exams in cardiovascular computed tomography.  This digital library of presentations captured at the ASNC CT Board Exam Preparation Course held April 17 - 18, 2009 in Philadelphia includes audio from the live course synchronized with the presentation slides.

Individuals who purchase the CT Board Exam Preparation Online course will receve a CD in the mail that will provide secure, online access to the program.  Individuals will login to the program using the key code located on the packaging of the CD.

Objectives

• Appraise knowledge of physics and instrumentation associated with cardiac CT
• List the biological hazards of radiation
• Explain image acquisition and processing, including artifacts
• Discuss the use of CT in the assessment of coronary artery disease
• Interpret CT images, including coronaries, bypass grafts, and non-coronary findings
• Discuss outcome data that supports the use of calcium scoring and CT coronary angiography

Program Content

The 18 lectures cover a wide variety of topics, including radiation and radiation safety, imaging protocols, coronary vessels, and non-cardiac findings.  Mock exams that were presented at the live course are available for users to evaluate their understanding of the material.
