Target Audience
All physicians and technologist practicing nuclear cardiology in the office-based setting are encouraged to attend this program.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the program are to enable participants to:
- Describe recent advances in nuclear cardiology, including SPECT and PET
- Understand the physics and instrumentation of a gamma camera and recent advances in detectors to improve clinical performance
- Employ optimal methodology to interpret and report nuclear cardiology studies
- Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of new protocols and imaging technologies and how to incorporate these into clinical practice
- Review and improve interpretation skills in standard and emerging technologies in nuclear cardiology
- Describe the basic physiological approach to stress perfusion imaging, including the use of new pharmacologic stress agents
- Discuss current legal issues in cardiology imaging in private practice
- Discuss the recent changes in coding and reimbursement for nuclear cardiology studies
Accreditation and Continuing Education Credit
Physicians The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology designates this educational activity for a maximum of 9.25 AMA PRA Category I Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Technologists The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is a recognized provider of ARRT Category A credit for technologists. ASNC's Continuing Education (ACE) credit is accepted by the NMTCB and ARRT.
This course has been approved for a maximum of 9.25 ACE credits for technologists.

Syllabus Information
ASNC is pleased to provide online access to all syllabus materials at no additional charge to attendees. This full-size, full-color set of slides is available for your review approximately two weeks prior to the course. You will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access the syllabus when it is ready.
Attendees may download the syllabus prior to the course and are encouraged to bring their laptop in order to access the syllabus during the course. If an attendee prefers a printed syllabus, they can print it from the online version or pre-order one from ASNC for an additional fee. Each participant is asked to select their syllabus preference during the registration process.
- Electronic Syllabus ($0): Attendees who select the electronic syllabus option will be responsible for downloading the presentations or printing the presentations prior to the course. ASNC will not provide printed syllabi to attendees unless the printed option was selected during registration.
- Black-and-White Printed Syllabus ($20): Attendees who choose to purchase a printed syllabus also have access to the electronic syllabus. Spiral bound copies of the purchased syllabus will be available for pick-up on site.
- Color Printed Syllabus ($100): Attendees who choose to purchase a printed syllabus also have access to the electronic syllabus. Spiral bound copies of the purchased syllabus will be available for pick-up on site.
Cancellation Policy
Registration cancellations received by March 26, 2010, will be eligible for a full refund less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be made after March 26, 2010. No refunds will be given for no-shows. In the unlikely event that the program is cancelled, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology will refund the registration fee in full, but is not responsible for any hotel or travel costs you may incur.
