Target Audience
All physicians and technologist practicing nuclear cardiology in the office-based setting are encouraged to attend this program.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the program are to enable participants to:
- Describe the new and relevant advances in nuclear cardiology, including both SPECT and PET
- Explain the physics and instrumentation of a nuclear camera to improve clinical performance
- Employ optimal methodology to acquire, process, interpret, and report nuclear cardiology studies
- Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of new protocols and imaging technologies, including half-time imaging, and how to incorporate these into clinical practice
- Identify the critical points to construct an overall measure of your laboratory's performance
- Review and improve interpretation skills in standard and emerging technologies in nuclear cardiology
- Recognize how to utilize clinical guidelines to enhance performance, document compliance, and improve clinical management
- Analyze and update the basic physiological approach to stress testing and perfusion imaging
- Discuss current legal issues in cardiology imaging practice
- Describe how to do outcomes research in private nuclear cardiology practice
Accreditation
The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is a recognized provider of ARRT Category A credit for technologists.
Continuing Education Credit
The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology designates this educational activity for a maximum of 9.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.
This course has been approved by ASNC for 9.5 ARRT Category A credits.

Cancellation Policy
Registration cancellations received by April 14, 2009 will be eligible for a full refund less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be made after April 14, 2009. No refunds will be given for no-shows. In the unlikely event that the program is canceled, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology will refund the registration fee in full but is not responsible for any hotel or travel costs you may incur.
