ASNC Asks President Obama to Address Liability Reform in Health Care Legislation

ASNC joined more than 75 medical organizations in signing a letter urging President Obama to address the flawed medical liability system. As noted in the letter, more than 60 percent of of liability claims filed against physicians are dropped, withdrawn, or dismissed without payment. Yet, physicians are forced to provide a defense against these claims, at an average expense of more than $22,000 per case.
