Target Audience
This course is designed for technologists performing nuclear cardiology in both private practice and hospital settings who are interested in gaining more in-depth electrocardiogram (ECG) recognition.
Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the basic anatomy and physiology of the heart
- Discuss basic disease processes of the heart
- Recognize common arrhythmias and abnormal heart rhythms
- Recognize possible life threatening arrhythmias
- Understand emergency issues that may occur in the stress lab
Accreditation
The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is a recognized provider of continuing education credit for technologists. ASNC's Continuing Education (ACE) credit is accepted by the NMTCB and ARRT.
CE Credit
This course has been approved for a maximum of 3.25 ACE credits for technologists.
