Mandatory Accreditation and CertificationThe American Society of Nuclear Cardiology supports mandatory accreditation of nuclear cardiology laboratories and mandatory certification of physicians practicing nuclear cardiology by January 1, 2008.New laboratories should be allowed a start-up grace period of two (2) years to become accredited. Physicians completing residency training should be allowed a grace period of two (2) years to become certified |
