ASNC and SCCT Team Up to Offer Nuclear Cardiology Course for Fellows-in-Training

More than 80 fellows-in-training traveled from U.S. and international institutions to attend ASNC's popular Nuclear Cardiology for Fellows-in-Training Course, which was for the first time offered in conjunction with the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. Directed by Mouaz Al-Mallah, MD, FASNC, and co-directed by Rami Doukky, MD, FASNC, and Dustin M. Thomas, MD, the course provided an introduction to both Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac Computed Tomography and addressed patient selection, appropriate use criteria, scanning and interpretation as well as implications for patient-centered imaging. Attendees also participated in a number of read-with-the-expert sessions.

Attendees completed pre- and post-tests to help them assess their learning and identify their strengths and weaknesses. ASNC awarded complimentary Nuclear Cardiology Knowledge Self-Assessment Program (NCKSAP) modules to three attendees: Thein Tun Aung, MD, Shivani Aggarwal, MD, and Rahul Malik, MD.  To learn more about NCKSAP
