Challenging Case Guidelines

Any physician or scientist who is in a residency/fellowship training program or under the age of 35 is eligible to submit a Challenging Case. Eligible physicians or scientists should submit an interesting case with teaching points written in abstract style. A panel of experts will review and select the best cases from the submissions for presentation. Each Challenging Case will have 10 minutes for oral presentation, followed by a 5-10 minute discussion with the moderators and audience.

The selection criteria are based upon the clinical decision making process used to arrive at a diagnosis and/or treatment. Selection is not based on just a great image or technically challenging procedure. All Challenging Case submissions must include the following content, organized into sections as follows: Background, Case, Decision-Making, and Conclusion (if known). The case scenario must illustrate clinical decision making with teaching points.

Notification will be sent with final disposition information by May 31, 2014.

Submit your Challenging Case now. The submission deadline is extended to April 14, 2014 at 5:00 pm ET.
