Submission Categories
Two abstract categories are available for ASNC2010:
- Original Scientific Abstracts: Accepted abstracts will be programmed as poster presentations (abstracts accepted for the Young Investigator Competition will be presented orally) and will be published in the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology.
- Original Abstracts of Late-Breaking Clinical Trials: Accepted abstracts in this category will be programmed as oral presentations and will not be published in the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology. These trials are expected to be large or multi-center prospective trials of major clinical import, involving generally more than 500 patients. For these abstracts, the submission deadline is later to allow for analysis of data closer to ASNC2010.
Authors need not be ASNC members to submit an abstract. Submission is free of charge and presenting authors are eligible for a reduced registration fee to attend the meeting. Please review the Abstract Submission Guidelines before submitting your work.
Abstract submissions will be condered for oral or poster presentation on the following topics:
- Acute ischemic syndrome (including MI and unstable angina)
- Appropriateness criteria
- Assessment of cost-effectiveness
- Comparative effectiveness
- Comparison to other methods (eg, 2DE, MRI)
- Computed tomography
- Congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and sudden death
- Diagnosis: ECG and perfusion markers of ischemia with exercise and/or pharmacologic stress
- Experimental nuclear cardiology/molecular biology
- Half-time, quarter-time, or ultra-fast SPECT
- Instrumentation
- Kinetics and radiochemistry
- Myocardial blood flow, coronary angiography, collaterals
- Myocardial infarction: Diagnosis and risk assessment
- Myocardial viability
- New tracers, new drugs, and interventional methods
- New software
- New hardware
- New protocols
- Non-PET metabolic imaging
- Perfusion imaging methods and protocols
- PET
- PET-metabolic imaging
- Risk assessment after PTCA, CABG
- Risk assessment before non-cardiac surgery
- Risk assessment in stable patients
- RNA (gated, first-pass) for LV and RV
- Solid state detectors
- Other (mental stress, cardiotoxicity, congenital heart idsease, transplant, microvascular disease, silent ischemia, etc.)
