Any physician or scientist who is currently in a residency or fellowship training program, or is below the age of 35, is eligible to submit an abstract in the Young Investigators (YI) competition. Check the corresponding box during the abstract submission process to become eligible for the competition. 

A panel will select the best abstracts from those submitted. These papers will be presented orally and awards will be given. All finalists will receive a $500 travel grant, complimentary registration, and a Certificate of Merit. In addition, the oral presentations will be reviewed by a panel of judges who will select the best abstract presentation. The individual with the best presentation will receive an additional $500 travel grant.

The ASNC2009 abstract submission period will open February 2, 2009.
