CT Hands-On Training

September 10, 2007 — 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Pre-registration for ASNC2007 is now closed.  Registrations will be accepted on site in San Diego at the Manchester Grand Hyatt beginning Tuesday, September 4, 2007.

Purpose

This course (offered twice) is designed to prepare cardiologists to fulfill the computed tomography (CT) training guidelines established by the ACCF/AHA with particular attention to hands-on computer workstation training.  The participant is assumed to already have some basic knowledge of CT adn CT angiography principles, and the program is tailored specifically for cardiologists who are performing coronary CT angiography.  In order to provide an optimal study environment, a maximum of two attendees will be assigned to each workstation.  Class size is limited to 30 participants.  Instruction will include a minimum of 35 mentored cases.

Objectives

Upon completion of the program, participants will:

• Perform hands-on computer interpretation of coronary CT angiography
• Interpret at least 35 mentored coronary CT angiography cases
• Demonstrate an understanding of common acquisition techniques as well as strengths and limitations of coronary CT angiography

Accreditation

The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CME Credit

ASNC designates this educational activity for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Case Credits

The cases in the course will count toward fulfilling the ACCF/AHA clinical competency guidelines for coronary CT angiography published in July 2005.  A certificate will be issued stating the actual number of cases each attendee reviews.  The number may vary but should always exceed 35 mentored cases for the full course.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for this two-day course is $2,000.  Full payment is due at the time of registration.  Space is not guaranteed until payment is received.  Registration fees include program syllabus materials, meals, and refreshments.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing.  Cancellations received 14 days or more prior to the start of the course will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50 percent of the registration fee.  If a replacement can be found, a full refund less a $250 processing fee will be provided.  No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the start of the course.
