Purpose

This seminar focuses on reimbursement of (1) current CPT and HCPCS coding and (2) Medicare payment policies.  The faculty concentrates on the interpretation and application of the latest in CPT and Medicare for 2007, including the Physician Fee Schedule in your office and hospital, the Ambulatory Payment Classification in your hospital outpatient practice, and the Correct Coding Initiative.  This seminar is designed for physicians, technologists, administrative staff, and other individuals responsible for the proper coding of nuclear cardiology procedures.  Time is alloted for questions and discussion about local and specific problems.

Objectives

The primary objectives of the Coding Nuclear Cardiology Correctly seminar are to enable participants to:

• Properly code today's nuclear cardiology procedures and radiopharmaceuticals
• Locate and appropriately utilize current reimbursement resources important for nuclear cardiology procedures
• Evaluate coding and billing practices in light of the Correct Coding Initiative
• Review the proposed Medicare rules for 2008

CE Credits

This course has been approved by ASNC for 4.0 ARRT Category A credits.

This course has been approved by the American Academy of Professional Coders for 4.0 credits.

1:45 p.m.	2007 Physician Fee Schedule for Nuclear Cardiology Procedures (including comparison of proposed 2008 rule as it relates to nuclear cardiology)
2:15 p.m.	2007 APCs & Revenue Codes for Nuclear Cardiology Procedures (including comparison of proposed 2008 rule as it relates to nuclear cardiology)

3:00 p.m.	Reimbursement Resources Navigating the Web & Introduction to Pay-for-Performance

Registration Fees

The registration fee for this program is $200 for members and $250 for non-members if registered by July 13, 2007, and $250 for members and $300 for non-members if registered between July 14 and August 17, 2007.  Payment must accompany your application.  Registration fees include program syllabus materials, lunch, and refreshments.

Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellations received by September 5, 2007, will be eligible for a full refund less a $25 administrative fee.  No refunds will be given for cancellations or no-shows after September 5, 2007.
