Nuclear Cardiology Board Exam Preparation Course

Pre-registration for ASNC2007 is now closed.  Registrations will be accepted on site in San Diego at the Manchester Grand Hyatt beginning Tuesday, September 4, 2007.

Purpose

The purpose of this program is to prepare cardiologists and radiologists for board examinations in nuclear cardiology.

Objectives

The primary objectives of the Nuclear Cardiology Board Exam Preparation Course are to enable participants to:

  • Appraise knowledge of physics and instrumentation associated with nuclear imaging
  • Understand image acquisition and processing, including artifacts
  • Assess skills in the basic statistics necessary for interpretation of nuclear literature
  • Describe risk stratification
  • Discuss the use of nuclear imaging in assessment of viability
  • Interpret perfusion images, including PET and ventricular function imaging
  • Utilize perfusion imaging in the assessment, diagnosis, and response to therapy in CAD patients and special populations

The program is intended to serve as an exam preparation tool; it does not offer extensive training or certification in the field.

Accreditation

The American Society of Nuclear Cardiology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CME Credit

ASNC designates this educational activity for a maximum of 14.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Registration Fees

The registration fee for this two-day program is $570 for members and $670 for non-members if registered by July 13, 2007, and $670 for members and $770 for non-members if registered between July 14 and August 17, 2007.  On-site registrations will be accepted if space permits.  Payment must accompany your application.  Registration fees include program syllabus materials, continental breakfasts, lunches, reception, and refreshments.

Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellations received by July 13, 2007, will be eligible for a full refund less a $50 administrative fee.  For cancellations made between July 14 and September 4, 2007, a $75 administrative fee will apply.  No refunds will be given for cancellations after September 4, 2007, or no-shows.
